Trends Spring/Summer 2012

RosaRot will be going on two major “trips” this season: one trend is inviting the shoe lover into the „City Jungle“, the second trend is taking the RosaRot ladies to glamorous „Paradise Island“.

We don’t necessarily speak of Paradise Island as the island of the Bahamas, but it stands as a symbol for a group of new spring/summer styles, which play with fresh, radiant colours and feature an extravagant combination of denim and lace with soft leather. Gold is a central colour, enjoying  a revival in this spring/summer season. The pumps, sandals and mules display vivid mono colours, f.ex. royal blue, fuchsia, red, turquoise, pistachio or present exciting colour blockings.
For the first time we use various premium patent leather that call to mind elaborate watercolour paintings. These materials come from fine Italian state-of-the-art  tanneries. The so-called new RosaRot StudioLine introduces these styles such as Studio Sevilla-2 paradiso with matching clutch or Studio Granda-1 in the beautiful colour combination of azzurro-verde and rosso multi.
A sophisticated mix of denim and fine lace with goat leather in gold, brown, off-white hues or black is mainly used for wedges and cute summer booties, of which some are decorated with cheerful accessories such as bows. Wedges with slim shapes get more and more popular and platforms still remain in fashion.

The styles of RosaRot’s “City Jungle” highlight urban chic, and according to the RosaRot mantra, they bring forward feminine and luxurious designs. Spotlight is set on pumps, wedges and sandals made of fur with leopard and zebra prints, snake leather (from breeding) and platforms and heels that are covered with sophisticated leather featuring zebra designs. Also laser cuts can be found in this group, introducing style “Studio Granada-2 taupe” with matching clutch. Every fashionista’s dream are the summer boots à la RosaRot: bootlegs with sublime cut-outs and a magnificent boot that can be worn as (roman) sandal or boot depending on the lady’s mood and the occasion. RosaRot combines premium textile and soft goat leather in warm earth tones, hence a guarantee of comfortable fitting even on hot, sunny days.
High-front styles are still on the radar and for “City Jungle” we have designed some elegant versions, such as “Chiara” or “Jasira” but also a style called “Sierra” which we expect to see on folk festivals, such as the famous “Oktoberfest” but also downtown with a feminine dress or cute shorts.
